Summary

Twenty-plus years running service businesses (appliance repair, dryer vent cleaning, electrical and industrial cooling) combined with a networking and infrastructure background that goes back to the late 1990s. I build scheduling, CRM, and automation tools because I have driven the routes, handled the angry customer with no working dryer, and scheduled thousands of calls. Serenity, my in-house platform, replaced roughly $1,000/month in SaaS subscriptions and now runs Vent Busters day to day, including 2,000+ online bookings in the last seven months across web, email reminders, QR postcards, and quoting.

Vent Busters·Greensboro, NC·2017–Present

  • Dryer vent cleaning across the Triad: 15,000+ dryer vents handled and 600+ five-star reviews.
  • Built Serenity CRM and in-house automation: online booking, voice agents, call routing, reminders, weather alerts, bookkeeping hooks, and marketing integrations.
  • 2,000+ online bookings through Serenity in the last seven months. Website, reminder emails, promotional QR postcards, and the quoting module all feed one schedule.

Operations & Systems

Whirlpool Authorized Service Provider·Greensboro, NC (Triad & Raleigh)·2010–2017

  • Ran operations for the largest Whirlpool service provider in the Triad. Back office was on clipboards and paper invoices when I arrived.
  • Moved the fleet to tablets with streaming schedules, work orders, and payments.
  • Modernized three offices across the Triad and Raleigh.

Operations & Systems

Maytag Authorized Service Provider·New York, NY·2004–2010

  • Warranty service for Maytag across NYC and Long Island, one of the largest appliance repair operations in the territory.
  • Helped build an industry-first online booking flow used with Sears Roebuck, among the earliest large-scale web scheduling deployments in a dense metro area.
  • Put laptops and Verizon aircards in vans for real-time schedule and work-order sync starting in 2004.
  • Territory design: zip-code routing, pipeline scheduling, tight daily routes. Problems most modern field-service software still handles poorly.

Selected projects

  • Serenity(2020–Present). Multi-tenant CRM and booking platform. Started during COVID lockdowns to replace expensive SaaS; Vent Busters is the flagship tenant.
  • Tutorbin(2026). Private AI tutoring app with course-scoped chat, pgvector RAG, and study aids. In daily use.
  • Realty Scraper(2026). Shipped browser extension and license API on Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons.
